A.G. Edwards, BSI Constructors Again Select Leonard Masonry for Expansion Project

- Construction is under way at the northeast corner of Market and Jefferson streets in St. Louis on an addition and renovation to the Trust Building of A.G. Edwards' headquarters. BSI Constructors Inc. is general contractor on the $7 million project, which encompasses 48,600 square feet of new construction and 11,000 square feet of renovation, including a major upgrade to the mechanical system.

BSI again has selected Leonard Masonry, Inc. as masonry subcontractor on the project. (BSI and Leonard also teamed up to build the A.G. Edwards West Tower Building, completed in 1997.) The exterior of the Trust Department addition will be brick veneer with limestone accents. Some interior granite facing and flooring also is specified in the masonry contract.

Paul Shaughnessy of BSI estimated completion on the Trust Department project for the second quarter of 2000. Tim Hudwalker is project manager and Don McCall is on-site superintendent for BSI; Brad Kasten is project manager for Leonard Masonry.

Raymond E. Maritz & Sons Inc. is architect on the project. Founded in 1959, Leonard Masonry Inc. has grown to be the largest masonry contractor in St. Louis and is recognized for its fine craftsmanship and on-time work delivery within budget. Leonard Masonry is a four-generation, family-owned business. It has been the masonry contractor on many of St. Louis’ landmark structures, including the Missouri Temple for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, numerous Washington University buildings, the Charles F. Knight Center, Shaw Park Plaza and the Emerson Grand Basin.
